We're a pioneering company currently working hard on some web-based software with a focus on servicing businesses with recruitment needs. We’ve been working with some impressive names – Heinz, Comic Relief, Clarks, Admiral, WeightWatchers, Monsoon and Tesco – and our SaaS solution (primarily HARBOUR ATS) is going down pretty well with everyone (even if we do say so ourselves - but our clients tend to without prompting anyway :).
Having recently bolstered our team with a Junior Dev we’re still on the hunt for a passionate Midweight Web / PHP Developer to join us and continue building on our strong digital centre of gravity.
You should know that we build our solutions on a LAMP stack set up with a modular architecture, but what you should also know is that we're damned picky about who we employ. So far we've seen well over 60 CVs - we've online tested 29 - and only telephone interviewed 3. To be honest we're pretty sick of people thinking they're PHP guru's (or at least being presented to us as if they are) and blatantly not having a clue (if you're interested in being considered for future junior roles then you can always just email your cv to us : alex@3dmarcomms.com ). But if you've memorised the mysteries of magic quotes, can sanitize your superglobals, and know your namespace separators from your nekudotayim paamayims - then please do step up.
Midweight Web Developer (PHP) Duties - kinda:
· Produce websites from design
· Develop new features
· Day-to-day upkeep of sites
· Fix bugs and test new features
· Help to work through the issue tracker
· Provide general support to the team
Web Developer (PHP, Linux, MySQL) Person Specification:
· Experience in web development
· Experience working in a small team
· Good technical knowledge
· Skills in PHP, Linux and MySQL
· Passion to deliver excellent work
· Desire to grow and self-educate
